Pella Pro-Life began in the 1980’s and regularly meets once a month at “The Well” in Pella, IA.

Our impact:

• • We provide free pro-life information to over 30 area churches in Pella, Oskaloosa, Sully, and New Sharon.
  • We hold an annual cookie fundraiser which raises thousands of dollars for the pro-life cause.

• • We show pro-life films to the community and encourage involvement in the pro-life movement.

• • We sponsor pro-life radio ads on local radio stations and two billboard signs around the area.

• • We have a table at Thursdays in Pella and hand out pro-life items/literature.

• • We walk in the 4th of July Pella Parade and pass out pro-life items. Anyone is welcome to join our group in the parade!

• • We financially sponsor several young people to attend the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.

• • We partner with Chloe’s Closet in Oskaloosa. This local resource provides free maternity/baby clothes and other items for families in need.

• • We financially and prayerfully support many pro-life local, national, and international groups.
  • We have sponsored rallies with special pro-life speakers, one which included fomer Governor Branstad’s wife, Chris Branstad.

• • In January 1989, we held a candlelight prayer service at the Tulip Tower to observe Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. The mayor of Pella proclaimed Sunday, January 22 to be “Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.”
